What time a day was the blood workup done, if the dog had already eaten, that could have brought up it glucose level to where it didn't show it as being off?
I've had two rotts that had diabetes, both showed high glucose levels in the early mornings before they ate and late afternoon/early evening before dinner.
The large increase in water was really the only symptoms they had at first.
Connie, you may have this info already but, is hyperparathyroidism one of the conditions covered in the tests the dog has had? Here is a site that describes--www.petplace.com/dog. Article is "Hyperparathyroidism in Dogs" by Dr. Arnold Plotnick. Sorry my attempts at a link didn't work. The symptoms are similiar, excessive thirst, frequent urination- older dogs more commonly affected.
Oh, I hope you and your daughter can find an answer soon.

Hyperparathyroidism is being considered. Addison's Disease -- actually, he started an adrenal supplement today, and if it triggers changes, then some further adrenal test is in the works. (I can't remember exactly what it was; I think it was to show any enlargement, rather than testing function.)
I don't think lymphoma has come up, and I also don't think that a better-timed blood-sugar test has been considered yet. And Addison's -- when this was suggested, Cushing's seemed more likely; but now Cushing's doesn't seem to be it. I'm putting Addison's on the list.
I am copying and pasting all this into a document for his next vet visit in 10 days.
I can't tell you how much all this helps. This has been a round of tests and worsening symptoms and no answers for many weeks now.
Besides the links I've posted, double/triple check for renal failure and diabetes mellitus.
Hopefully it's just as simple as a dietary imbalance.
He has no other Lepto symptoms, but I'm adding it to the list.
Dietary imbalance is something that is sticking in my own mind (maybe wishful thinking) because of the Balance IT supplement he's been on. It has such a laundry list of micronutrients (nothing inherently wrong with it, but it does seem that when there is a problem, stopping all supplements temporarily might make it easier to pinpoint).
I'm addding all these suggestions to the list. That idea about poor timing on the blood draw is promising.
Thank you all. We're all worried about this guy. (He was my first granddog! )
