Thanks for everyone's good wishes - I knew you all would truly appreciate a new puppy coming home for the first time. I am looking forward to the sleepless nights and the constant worry and of course that new puppy smell! Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates and a happy holiday that encompasses all!
Congrats on the upcoming new arrival to your home! It's so fun with a new puppy, I just picked up my lab pup at the begining of Dec. and he is a fat little bruiser! I love him to death. We had him flown from Minnesota(90miles from the canadian border). We live in Gillette, WY and the closest airport was only an hour and a half away. 3 hours round-trip for me and only 90 minutes for the pup. It is alot easier for the puppy when it's a long distance away to have it flown into the closest airport. Did the breeder not give you the option to have the puppy flown? I understand that you plan on breaking your trip up, so it's not as hard on the puppy-excellent idea(must remember that you'll have to stop fairly frequently so the puppy can relieve him/herself).
