Is he pure German, or does he have some other lines as well? My dog is part Czech. His call name is "Parek", which is a very popular Czech sausage. So he goes with my cat, "Pivo", which means "Beer". Of course, for a complete Czech meal, I need a third animal named "Horcice" (don't even try to pronounce it). That, of course, means "Mustard".
Actually I don't know any of the above questions yet. We have a choice between two pups. I'm not sure which one we are going to take. We are driving to Denver on the 3rd to meet the breeder and see the puppies. Except the breeder informed me tonight that it might be delayed since the weather is so bad. The importer is coming from Germany with two females and two male pups. I don't know if any of you have seen the conditions in Denver lately but it is awful. Airport and roads are all closed. I am hoping that it clears up by the 1st so that we can make the trip. Otherwise, I will be faced with deciding whether to have the pup shipped to me, with only pictures as my guide. I'd really rather go to the breeders home, meet her, see the pups, meet the other dogs she has there, etc. I'll try to get some of that information soon.
Lol, Anita! Too funny. Sausage, mustard and beer. He's all German, West Germany to be exact.
My little girl is named with a combination of our two names Jessica and Mike....she is JEMI. Most people really really like it when they hear it, and love the way I came up with it. Happy New years everyone.
I don't know that this will help Robbin..
I use to work for a parralegal that had 2 dogs
her St.bernard was: twinky
her yorkie was: cujo
I use to get confused on what dog she was talking about cause of their names
When she would tell me that Cujo was always sleeping in her gym bag ,I had a hard time picturing the st.bernard cause that's what came to mind at first...
I just had to share that with you guys...
These are a few sites that I found. I found a really cool name "Koen" on one of those. I thought it would be a good dog name until my wife hijacked my idea and called dibs on that name if we ever have a son. Hope my future kid never finds out that I wanted to use his name for my dog.
There are so many that I would probably like if'n I just knew how to pronounce them. Some of the searches that I have done explain the meaning of the word but then I am not sure what the heck the name is trying to say, lol
