Bradley,
What do you mean by setting her off, is she biting your hand or just getting excited .Does she have a toy that she likes?
What do you use for rewards?
Is it an age thing? Possibly. The fact is your dog is reaching maturity between the ages of 18-30 months. So, what he is doing, like you asked, is questioning you as the pack leader. You have to reinforce the fact that he will not be the pack leader, you are. And you could also reinforce your commands-a prong collar, dominant dog collar and a good lead will help with this, especially if you are training for competition. Good luck, and don't forget to show im you are the pack leader and he needs to be the follower.

Angelique,
Sorry, I have been away for the last few days...
By "set her off" I mean the usual aggressive crap, at the end of the leash, not paying attention or responding to command / correction, barking, the whole bit, acting like a ______!
