AAAWW rats!!! I was just feeling so glad that we got our guy already 2 years old and past 'that awful puppy stage".......what a gorgeous boy! Now I've got puppy fever and we are Maxed-Out on animals.....'sigh'
keep us posted on his progress please, I will enjoy vicariously!
Thanks Kristel - when he lowers his head and turns it to the side, he reminds me of his sire, Cak (2nd pic of Cak on photobucket site).
Steve, he thought he could fly too, and tried several times
Thanks Angelique for all your input. I was concerned about his legs for a while and wondered if he was getting enough calcium and was hoping he wasn't growing too fast. Guess I expected his young stocky puppy legs to stay stocky all through his growth period.
Sefi, that's good to hear. He loves running water, and loves to run with the hose with the water on. It's how I bathe him when it's warm outside. He chases the water and I hose him down when he runs by I don't know if I'm allowed to post a breeder's name here, so I will private message you with the breeder's name.
Jenni, funny you mentioned about maturing slowly - I had that thought a couple of days before you posted that. Nothing specific that I could put my finger on, just a general feeling I had. Thanks for the advice on the helper/trainer. I'll do my best to find the best I can, hoping to find one familiar with the lines. If you have any more info on the traits, etc, please PM me? Would like to learn as much as I can about my pup and his background.
Saffron, do you have a Son of Cak too?
I Wish!!!! No I just have a long-haired "shiloh-type" female and this recent rescue from the local shelter who is a scarecrow with fur.......he's a sweet guy but looks like something out of a Tim Burton movie. Your pup is just stunning!!
Hi Sandy! I really enjoyed the pictures. (especially after a particularly sucky work day, but that's MY problem, LOL!)
I love the ear progression especially. For me anyway, these pups go through incredible stages of development, and those ears tend to be a focal point, but for me a funny point as well. I need to dig around in my older pics to find one of my mutt when she had what we called the "Ear Hat Phase." (Ears crossing over each other, not always, but sometimes, on top of her head - and the randomness of it all made it even funnier!)
It's so amazing how fast these pups pass through their "puppy" stages. Enjoy every single moment of puppydom!!
sorry for the url tag...this is a picture of her when we first got her out of my suv and my kids saw her in person for the first time...she was about 11 weeks old...she's now 16 weeks and no longer looks like a puppy-but still acts like one
Mike, yeah, I remember that picture of your beautiful kids and your beautiful new puppy! Take some more pics Mike and share. Do you have a photobucket account? ( http://www.photobucket.com ) I'd love to see more photos when you can. I know what you mean about not looking like a puppy at 16 weeks! Even with a camera it's hard to keep up with their growth. You miss the early puppy days yet look forward to the great dogs you know they're going to be.
Amber, I really am having a good time with Lear. The weather is beautiful right now in Phoenix and we walk everywhere. He loves his walks and is doing great with passing by people and is even ignoring yappy dogs after a first curious glance or two. He's growing up, and I'm a proud momma.
