Cindy, nice pics...reminds me of the litter that produced Buttercup and Winnie.
I hope that their future owners find the same satisfaction when they take possesion of their new puppies that Debbie and I did!
Thanks Will, these little buggers do remind me of that litter also... already biting the crap out of me! LOL
I'm going to be wearing a belt at all times, to prevent the "pulled down pants incident " of 2003.
She is eating somewhere around 8 pounds a day right now.
Ay!
And how much does she herself weigh??
Right now, maybe 54 pounds. Her 'fighting weight' is about 56-58 and she's all muscle when she isn't feeding 10 hungry babies. This is a mother dog that really gives her all to a litter, I kept 2 pups from her last litter and she was still trying to nurse them when they were 10-12 weeks old. When I wouldn't let her do that, she regurgitated her meals for them. (even though I was feeding them myself)
This is a very good brood bitch, probably the best I have seen myself. She is extremely careful with her puppies, counts them each time she returns after being outside and teaches them all kinds of cool dog lessons.
Buttercup got a refresher course when he came back as a teenager, for one of our seminars. He decided it was cool to hump other dogs and cats. Remember Will? Mom gave him a bell ringing and went on her way. LOL
They're gorgeous! I'm lucky I'm already getting a puppy or I might get puppy fever.
Just out of curiousity, how do you pick the homes for the pups when you're looking to send them to working homes? Do you expect that the buyer is already in the sport, or just that they're interested?
Stunning pups they looks so healthy, this breed is really growing on me, the more, I see them the more, I like them,
yours have particularly good pigment, have seen some others that are a little lighter, but I like the dark ones, they look so
mischievious, enjoy those little snappers while you can!
They grow so fast...aah puppies {{{Withdrawals}}}}???
Hi Cindy,
Is the meat raw or cooked? Mom sounds like she has her paws full! HAHA. They looked like good sized puppies so she must be doing a good job. I bet it is hard to keep up with feeding her. 8lbs a day, wow. Do you know of any Sch clubs in the LaCrosse, WI area?
Hehehe..Cindy, I remember that!
Old "Sir Hump A Lot" tried to mount the wrong bitch when he tried to climb up on Aera - she expressed her "displeasure" rather strongly....Buttercup never knew what hit him.
It's great to have a senior bitch around to teach the youngster's some respect......hehe.
I second Heather's question. By working homes, do you mean police or SAR dogs, or a private owner that wants to do Schutzhund or another type of sport?
I'm trying to find a good home for a foster dog and I'm wondering how you breeders place yours, since I know you try very carefully to get the "right" homes.
