We are all aware of how long ago this discussion was started...........
We were just waiting to see how your dog is doing?? I personally couldn't sleep at night wondering. LOL
Seems like other board members could benefit from your vast experience with dogs (how many years did you tell me????) so please help out with this topic if you can.
thanks ever so much!!!!
(and thanks for the 'permission' to continue this thread....)
Dave - The age of an open thread has nothing to do with the subject. I strongly suggest you keep your comments to the moderators civil. If you have a problem with someone - take it to private messages.
Why is it a problem to have someone to continue a thread that is a year old if they are having the same problem now? Seems to me we all can benefit from everyone's experience and advice. You are the one who seemed to be hostile with your post. We haven't really heard from you in awhile and then you write a smart a*s remark about the thread being a year old....then asked to be removed from the board cause Cindy called you on it..
Now getting back to the question...I think Innova is a rich dog food. In fact my dogs could not handle this food at all. I have recently switched my dogs to raw and see a difference already. You may want to try and change the dog food to something like Wellness, Canidae and see if that helps with the stool eating.... Good luck and keep us posted even if it's a year from now
One was never taught better, she was 3 when we got her and would eat it to "hide the evidence". With her it was just a matter of making sure she had ample time outside (she seems almost overly picky about where she poops) then giving the "leave it" command when she tried to have a "snack."
The other, my male, had problems digesting the raw at a young age. He couldn't assimilate the food very well and had the runs A LOT (no matter what we did). We put him on a "good" kibble and he was able to digest better, but would try to eat it after it came out. We ended up using Deter and the "leave it" command. Worked well with him. Now that he's a bit older (1yr recently), we put him back on the raw diet and he's doing quite well.
We also had to use the Deter on our daughter's Aussie (another poop eater), and it worked by itself (didn't even have to give her the command) as she'd sniff and go "yuck" and leave it all alone.
I still don't understand the derogatory comments that Cindy supposedly said. I read all the correspondence between you and her and it seems you are the one with a lot to learn. I especially like the quote about dog training...it doesn't take skill, talent or intelligence..you should be a master then...
Sorry guys for being off topic, I had to respond to his comments..
