For carsickness, try a lavender sachete. I know, sounds strange, but it helps. No drugs like dramamine (sp?), but lavender or a SPECIAL toy that is only for car trips... Those are things you may want to check out. Also, try putting him on the floorboards. Wife says that helped an old dog of hers that suffered similar to your boy.
I have three GSD, One my oldes can rome free, no worries. The other two are either in their 10x10 kennels or in a part of the yard that is secure. I am surprised to here so many of you lock your dogs in crates for so many hours a day by them selves. I do take my dogs to work often, during this time they are in a crate but I must say I am good about letting them out to stretch, this is also the time during the day I spend doing OB, about 10-15 each. Usually they are not in there crates for so long every day. Am I miss reading this thread? do some of your dogs spend your working hours in small crates and then more time at night and maybe some more time when you dont want to be bothered ? I must have miss read? why have a dog if they are in a crate 20 hours a day????????????
