Only my opinion but they are not good protectors, they are slow and dumpy on their OB and the ones that I have seen are mostly fear biters.. I seen about 5 different people with five different dogs all washed out as PPD dogs because they were fear biters and the trainer refused to train them. There is a lady in PSA that has titled one of these dogs . They are not my dog of choice. I would take an American Bull dog over a presa any day....

Please do get out on top of them right away. They are a handful, in my limited experience.
If you are using them for actual, high end performance you may have a tough road/be better off with another breed (as some have already said) but if you are looking for sheer deterence you couldnt have picked any better. The Presa's are MEAN looking, for better or worse...

hi,
thank you. but my reason for two is because the size or better yet the angle of my property. i have a 7year old one before but my inlaws got the dog to familiar with the neighbors. i really like them because of their looks, their fur, they are very protective dogs.
it's funny my dad only had germen sheperds in the house. your dogs are beautiful!

Hi Lisa,
If you read the links that have been posted for you, you will see that you do NOT handle "two at the same time." Your pups should be kept separate as much as possible, so they bond with YOU and not each other.
Make no mistake, having two dogs is NOT twice the work. It's three times the work. Don't ask me how, but it is.
You will need to do a lot of reading on this site to understand how to make it work, but if you do it right it will be worth it.

If you're completely sold on this breed and on having two, then why don't you get one and train and socialize him first. Then if you still feel confident that you can handle another one, get another pup when the first one is mature.
These dogs are not going to be optimally trained if raised together at best, and worse case scenario could be a nightmare. Not trying to be harsh, but there is an amazing amount of collective experience here to support the warning against raising two pups together, especially with the breed your considering. When people start thinking that they're the exception, that's usually when troubles start!
But if we can't change your mind, then I wish you all the luck you're hoping for...you're going to need it!

Lisa, just to add. Please don't think the members are "ganging" up on you. I, myself, don't want to deter you from getting your breed of choice as they are beautiful dogs. In all honesty though, I do recommend getting 1 pup. Give it the proper training with knowledge from Leerburg, build an incredible bond with it and then, in a few years if you want to add a second, go for it!
Raising 2 pups, especially littermates is incredibly difficult. Add to that, the power of their breed, and you could be in for a disaster. I'll be honest to say, I was tempted to do the same when I bought my dog, but thank God something clicked in me and I decided against it. Now, I realize I would have been over my head raising 2 Boxer pups half of the size of your Presas.
The main point of my post is to tell you when you raise 2 pups from the same litter, their bond will most likely be stronger with each other than with you. Read this article: http://www.leerburg.com/rot-kill.htm

hello
thank you for thinking about my feelings. i don't feel as if people are gangin up on me. that's why i posted my post. i know we are in for it.. in more ways than one. that's why i want to hear from other peoples past, errors and even lessons.... my reason for getting two is also because i will be getting a lot of help. i have 5 other sets of hands helping out. the one advice that i keep on getting is raise them seperately. my husband made an 8x8 room so they can sleep in so now i have to rethink their sleeping arrangements.
