I'm sure you'll create quite the "wow" factor when you get him up there with all your gear... in deep snow I'd love to try that out with Taro but I don't know if my back and neck will hold out That dog looks pretty agile and athletic, I'm sure he could manage the leap from the ground without you crouching. Have you tried that yet? SO cool... thanks for posting that, I love seeing what stuff people come up with to teach their dogs.

But to be fair, he already knew how to jump up into my arms, and I have already carried him over my shoulders several times so he is already used to that position somewhat, so it is not like we started from complete scratch. Have you tried that yet? Yuko He is pretty agile and athletic 43 lbs. However he is also on the soft side. Even in our 2 sessions, after a miss and fall, he would be more reluctant to go for it for the next couple of attempts. With the pack on there is also the chance of getting paws and legs stuck if he doesn't quite make it. I am just going to work things higher slowly until I am confident in his ability to hit the proper position every time. I'll keep you posted though. Gonna work some other ob stuff tonight instead.
