Natalya, that is a very good question about other dogs. She is very social around dogs, and before I knew the risks of dog parks, I'd take her and she'd run almost non stop for over an hour. When we'd leave she was still active, not exhausted. When she plays with my brother's dog. She is the more active dog and goes until I tell her to stop. I'm sure boredom has a lot to do with it now.
Katie, good point. When we start our run, I have to keep telling my dog to slow down when she begins to gallop, she's too fast for me. After a pop or 2 on the leash, she goes to a trot, which I heard gives a dog incredible endurance. It's a good pace for me, but maybe not her.
We do cool down on the way home. We walk the last 4 blocks or so, that's when she lags so she may be bored. As soon as I pretend to jog, she perks up, but I've never ran her, it's just to get her to catch up. I'm still miffed as to why she seems so tired when we get home though. As soon as I act like I'm leaving somewhere, she jumps up and is behind me. We'll see how things go.

My runs start the same way -- she is 4 steps ahead! Funny thing too -- she lags the most on the way out and is much better at keeping a heel position on the way back.
That lagging trot we are all referring to may just be the natural endurance pace of the individual dog like you said Alex.
And the boredom of the dog thinking "what on earth are we chasing?"

70 minutes of jogging in the summer for a young dog we are talking about right? I don't find it surprising the dog would lay down panting once at home. I like that you say that she jumps up if she thinks you are going somewhere. It can take a while for them to cool off. Also they do gain stamina with age and as they get used to summer conditions. Boredom we mentioned already.
Funny that most pet owners are "stoked" to come home form exersiscing their dogs and see them "exausted"
I think you have to go with your gut...if there is a possibility of a health issue get it checked out. It is postive that in self directed play (like playing with other dogs) she is doing fine.
Those boxers just look like a ball of muscle! Love those short coats
