Okay, 3 for tripping, one for not....
Passionate topic, and I can appreciate people who are passionate about what they beleive in. I will refrain from a rebuttle because it is not dog related and will not help Suzanne or her dog.
I appologize to Suzanne for making my comment here and think it would be respectful if anyone wants to address what I have said they can bomabard me with PM's. PM is what I should have done as well.

Jennifer,
I respect your outlook on this and I commend you for posting it rather than pm'ing it. It shows that you are as confident in your view on this as we are.

Carol's right.
But just so you know, I'm with you on this one, Jennifer.
3 to 2!
More importantly, though, I hope your friend and her dog recover well. Then they can keep fighting crime and people won't need to trip to get what's coming to them.

Oh please, don't be so offended at the joke of criminals "tripping" on the way to jail. It's a JOKE!
The fact that our police maintain their composure and self-control in the face of some of the worst of the scum of the earth, with all the real creeps they're exposed to, everything they see, day after day, year after year, putting their own lives on the line for others, in a country of over 300 million, it speaks more than words can express. I also "ditto" Angelique's comments and have absolutely no problem doing so.

Not sure if everyone here knows the term "black humor" but it is what some of us who are in LE, Fire Fighting, EMS and SAR among other jobs, need to deal with some of the things we face.
It is not really meant to be harmful and sometimes, if people don't know what it is, it gets taken the wrong way.

I'm not sure if that was meant for me, but if so, I was also just joking, actually. I wasn't offended, I knew you guys were joking around.
EDIT: This is the wonder of the internet - we can't see each other's facial expressions...makes it hard to tell who's joking and who isn't, sometimes.

All joking aside, I wish Suzanne a speedy recovery...and Axel too. It's a horrible thing that happened.
Please keep us posted, Lee. I would love to see something about these a$$wipes getting some serious repercussions, and I would love to read about her return to the force.

3 to 3. Although, I understand and am grateful for our men and women protecting the community, there are exceptions to everything and as we have all seen, some people take advantage of their titles or badges etc. BUT, that's a whole different topic. I hope to read soon that Suzanne is doing well.

Alex , you're a Winnie....JK!
I have to add that you know the people who are so quick to say ....poor criminal.....have never been hurt(seriously)by them.
Or needed the assistance of any law enforcement officer in a serious matter.
Can you imagine had that car been a car full of children instead of an officer and k9 ? You'd have an uproar in that town !
That female officer and her k9 is no different TO ME then a car full of children and my anger is the same for those idiots!
Showing a bit of anger for those criminals , rather it's to joke about "the tripping" or hanging them at the intersection where it all happened ......feels good to some of us, don't be so quick to feel "bad" for those idiots. That Officer is going to need a lot of physical therapy, let's be satisfied that that is all she'll need..Alex , I'm sure those guilty fools are having a hot meal as we speak, while the officer in question is on pain killers and going for another surgery....
