We paid $20/week for a drop-in training session (beginner level to BH)
Then we joined a Schutzhund club and it's $100 for 3 months probationary period and then $325 for the first year. The club trains Tues, Thurs and Sunday. There is unlimited help with the training dirctor and helpers.
We also purchased several hundred bucks worth of Leerburg training DVDs...and they're worth every penny. Absolutely.

I pay the GSD Club that i am in which is affiliated to the Belgium Working Dog Sport in Belgium and Ours is the Runkelen Kring 46 it can be seen on our website of the club
I pay them 50 USA Dollars a Year, and for this money we can Train Twice a week. There is a very experinced Trainer of 40 years Who helps Novices Like me, Plus i have a lot of Leerburg DVDs which have helped me Enormously, So much so the Trainer Commented to me the Other week that i had learned a little, But said that i needed to learn more than Pup Fred, in a joking way, But what he said was True
Plus for that money we get a Monthly Magazine telling us all the dates of the coming Working Competitions and At which Club including our own, and it contains a lot of other good information as well
So we do very well for our money.
The Trainer Never Charges for his services, He simply Loves to help others and is a Passionte German Shepherd Lover, We are very lucky people, But he insists that we turn up even if it is Bad weather, as there is always something which can be done, So we do not let him Down even if some others do.
We are there Rain or whatever the Weather is, and he never fails to turn up
Our club dues are 200ish a year plus the cost to become a DVG member.
We also take up collections every blue moon to get something repaired or added that we need, like a KNPV jumps and hurdles set or night lights, but that's strictly if some feels like doing so.
On the plus side, we allow motivated and dedicated beginners to join and we train them well, and not all clubs put in as much effort as we do in coaching new dog/handler teams.
I think that most, if not all of our club members are happy to be a part of our club and no one has voiced concerns about the cost of joining the club.
