.... Rescue is suppling all medical needs ....
Meaning the dips (prescribed by the vet)?
I know I haven't given you step-by-step suggestions yet, but the diabetes and confirmation of hypothyroidism (which the RX will tell us), as well as whether or not you are able to do raw for him (your o.p. said maybe not) will affect the answers a lot.
I'm not a health professional. I do have quite a bit of material about these immune disorders (and both the demodex and the hypothyroidism are immune disorders).
So post back with more info as soon as you can, OK?

I am afraid it is the fatal kind, it is allover him. he has the will to live, he went and picked up a ball yesterday to play with, and made me cry, he wants to live I know he does......he just laid there and chewed on it a while......
There are/were very close to having to make the hard decison, but hoping against all hope that foster would come thru and try to help......
the vet tech that works there says he is leeching ????

1. Do you still have some of The Honest Kitchen food you had for Jack?
2. Can you get some fish oil and vitamin E now? Both are easily found in the (human) health food store.
3. Can you pick up some ground turkey breast for his first couple of meals, just in case he's suspicious of the "real" raw food he will need, like skinless chicken backs and necks or quarters. If you have ground poultry on hand, then he will almost certainly go for that, no matter how accustomed he is to kibble or maybe suspicious of bones. You could get plain unflavored no-sugar live-culture yogurt, too, where you get the fish oil and Vitamin E gelcaps.
I'd get a little chicken liver too, which you can sear in a skillet if he refuses raw. (This is a small part of the diet; you don't have to start it the first day; it is part of the raw diet, though, long term.)
If you have no THK (The Honest Kitchen), then we can make suggestions for other ingredients for his raw diet. I just thought you might have it left from Jack and could use it up as a gravy for this guy.

Raw food won't make him worse. The biggest thing I noticed about your post was that they want you to dip him. I don't know for sure, but I would think that those harsh chemicals cannot possibly be good for such a sick boy. I'd concentrate on boosting his overall health and immune system via food, so find out asap if he's diabetic or not. THEN, when he's generally stronger, you can reevaluate those dips.
