Insted of starting a new topic i figured i would save some space and bring this thread back to life.
So Good Training Day vs. 2.0
I got to train with the Germans with detection and bite work today and it is so nice to work with a fresh pair of eyes and see how other people work. Detection was pretty simple. We set up a TCP (Traffic Control Point) and pulled over cars, truck, bus's ect. After we searched them we would plant a aid in the vehicle and search it again. Pretty good training considering the vehicle's are usaly messy and there is no better training then useing the real thing.
Bite work was nice. We didn't completely train together what we pretty much did was the Germans went through there basics and standard and then we did the same. They have one guy who seems to be the subject-matter-expert for them as far as bite work goes. And his dog is amazing looking when it comes to bite work. My only complaint is that there guy for Bite work has VERY strong sports influences in his training. Witch i think is a problem to a degree but im not trying to have that debate here.
Now this is a feisty little dog. Very small but high drive. He isn't certified in bite work. He is still learning the basics but i look forward to seeing this dog progress. http://footnote.zenfolio.com/img/v2/p484947105-3.jpg
