There are lots of factors that determine human grade... for instance a few degrees in temperature can drop a food source down to animal grade. Often times it was meant to be for humans but something happened that didnt keep it in the guide lines.
I wasnt so much concerned about that kind of quality as much as what it will or wont do for my dog. I am going to give it a try. But the whole free range/certified organic thing did raise an eyebrow... if they are free range... how do they keep em from eating everything under the sun? hehe
Thanks for the feedbacks.
I'm feeding the puppy formula to my female who had pups 2 wks ago. Normally fed diamond premium, she stopped eating that even with moist, didn't want the canidae I have for my male, so out of desperation bought it, she's been wolfing it down ever since.

Yes,I LOVE the Chicken Soup Dog food!!! I mix it in with the other foods I buy to keep on hand for when I'm not feeding raw. The kibbles I mix around are the Chicken Soup for the dog lovers soul, Canidae, Innova , Solid Gold(holistic and millenium), Eagle pack premium holistic, Innova, and california naturals foods. I know it's a huge variety, but I but 3 or 4 brands at a time and mix up the layers as I pour it into the feed barrel. This way I feel that they're still getting a varied diet and I don't rely on any one brand to do it all. Plus I put oil in the food( Safflower, cold expeller pressed)or an egg, raw.
No one ever said life was supposed to be easy, life is what you make of it!!
Jeanette, sounds good but it's also an expensive mix. I'm sure it's better than just one brand by itself but I have to cut the bleeding on spending somewhere.
Angela, Chicken Soup is made by Diamond and they have their own web site.
With tax I think I pay about $27.00 and some change for the 35lb bag.
I'm aware that Diamond makes chicken soup. She just decided to get picky at the end of her pregnancy and wouldn't eat the Prem. Adult or Professional. Luckily she eats Chicken Soup and all appear to be doing very well
