I love this RAW site. Check out the "recipes" Cracks me up!
http://www.rawfeddogs.net/Recipes
Also, look at the pictures - especially any of the ones involving heads!
Great recipes, perfect for busy people with dogs! I don't think it would appeal to obsessive/compulsive people.
My dogs will only eat the occasional rat after is has been weathered and dried for several months. Then it's like a crunchy treat, yuck! They feel the same way about Starlings.
They really like chicken heads, feet and guts.

okay, where in the heck do you find this stuff? I want bison/venison/rabbit/ anything I can get my hands on!!! My dogs get chicken/turkey/ground beef and the occasional organ meets. This is why I was asking about pork. I don't feel like they get enough variety. Since I have a pork slaughterhouse nearby I thought I might hit them up for bones and such. Shoot, sometimes it just sucks being in the city! I want to go where Carole is! Except in the winter, of course. I'd freeze to death! Give me 70 degrees in the dead of winter please! Do you guys have it shipped to you or just hunt it or what?

I live in a small city, and I find some of these meats in the kind of natural foods stores that have butcher counters with humanely-raised and -slaughtered, pasture-raised, etc., meat.
Buffalo and ostrich are the ones I see often.
I also pick up what they call "fish stir-fry" at the farmers' market from the fishing boat guys. This is what they call the ends and small pieces of their fish (not nice big fillets and steaks).
And there is a web site that Cindy posted that has all this (rabbits, etc.) and more.
None of this is cheap, but I'm not using it for the main RMBs..... I'm using it as add-ins for variety, along with some canned salmon (bones and skin included), lamb neck (that sometimes is cheap), etc.

Robinn where in arizona are you located. The buyer group I belong to has a pick-up site in Phoenix. If you are close by or willing to drive check out-- http://www.socalbarf.com/SoCalBARF/Home.html
We sometimes have whole bison cuts. Also there is a variety of different meats and RMB's from beef, chicken, pork, duck, goat, lamb, turkey, fish and a few different ground mix companies including greentripe.com
Connie,
I'm not sure where in central Cal you are located but the group services a few areas in the north from SLO to truckee. Simon at
Creston valley meats is a great guy that has a good variety of products including ostrich. He does monthly to bi-monthly deliveries throughout northern and southern Cal.

Okay, I just talked to the lady at the local pork slaughterhouse and she informed me that to feed a gsd pork is just asking for a serious case of bloat! Now, I haven't heard anyone complain about pork and bloat so I am wondering what gives. Granted, this is a woman that is offering me smoked bones and smoked pork ears. Sooooooo!!! If I am to buy pork for the dogs what cuts do I buy?? Wow, this raw feeding is quite the education, isn't it?? LOL!
