I love your signature picture.
OK, I would probably start over with potty-training. My experience is that a dog who is regressing or relapsing will be much faster to re-train than the initial training is.
So what I would probably do would be to tether her to me for a couple of days while I was arranging for the smaller crate, so I could catch her in the act every single time, take her out, and mark and reward for good potty. I would want to break this habit with a new rewarded habit.
Also, while I was attached to the dog, I would also know for sure whether there was any UTI-type dribble-wait-dribble action.
But basically I would want to instill a good new habit that you can mark and reward.
Then I would have her outside for an hour or so before the first time into the new smaller crate, having potty'd her thoroughly. :> And I would potty her again within an hour or so.... just making that new habit really strong.

I agree with Connie as well as the smaller crate advice. It is just weird that she does not go in the vehicle crate as well......hmmmmm...Malinois are great at doing bizarre things......

She is fine in the house and in the vehicle. I do take her out and make sure she goes before being crated. She will pee as soon as I put her in and leave the room. I can take her out of the crate, clean it, put her back in, and she will pee again as soon as I put her in!
I swear she is doing it on purpose! Like you said... she's a Mal!
I'll let you know how the smaller crate works. But I have my doubts.
Thanks.

Two different crates...two different circumstances. Maybe she doesn't pee in the truck crate because interesting things are happening. Is it possible to trade crate locations to see if it is actualy the crate and not the environment? At least you can rule out one or the other then go from there. Just a thought.

Forgot to ask. Does she pee in the truck crate if you just put her in there and not go anywhere?

I was just thinking about trying that. Throwing a regular crate in the truck and see what happens with her in it. (hey! I'll try anything at this point).
And I do sometimes put her in the truck if I am working one of the other dogs at home. Just sitting in the driveway. And she stays dry. Guess I should try just putting her in there and not doing anything with the other dogs so she doesn;t think we are training and she will be next.
If they could only talk and let us know wha they are tinking!

They are talking. Either in riddles or we aren't listening. LOL

Rather than thinking she is doing it on purpose because she is upset, I'd be looking for TRIGGERS; such as scent.
Are you just sopping up the urine with paper towels or are you cleaning the crate afterwards. Cleaning requires something like WHITE VINEGAR ($3/gallon) or NATURE'S MIRACLE ($30/gallon) or Odor Mute (powder that you mix with water), so that you can be sure that all traces of the urine smell are gone.
If you use ammonia or even bleach, it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy that it will continue to happen again and again.
*** Also you state that you leave the room and come back and she is already peeing. *** So perhaps she associates this crate with you leaving (Seperation Anxiety, perhaps?) whereas with the truck crate, she knows she is going with you. ***
Why not try putting her in the crate (odor free) and just stand there. Try not leaving. If she starts to Pee. Say No and take her outside.
My pup would pee in his crate and lay in as a very young pup and I seriously wondered if he would ever be trained. It can be frustrating to try to understand them. But anyway, I shampooed him DAILY (or more often if needed), to make sure that he didn't smell like urine. I didn't want him to ever think that was OK.
Good Luck!
