Seems this thread has reopened,
Beth, We have several World Champions in Schutzund Competition in Belgium, and the Standard is probably as high in the World as anywhere, I think the best Belgian in this worlds Championship was 5th Place, and is a Lady
One club i go to takes an average of 50 minutes to get there and i go Thusday evenings and Sunday Mornings, another club On Tuesday evenings
My Trainer is as i have said the Belgian Team Captain and he is also a Well Known Qualified Judge on Schutzund, who travels to judge Competitions in the USA and Canada etc plus train or help people over there, In fact he has been over twice to work in the USA in the last 6 weeks he only canme home yesterday from the USA
In his Absence i have another Belgian Quaified Judge in Schutzund Competitions, who helps us whilst the other fellow is away so we are very lucky indeed, and we do not pay anything, they are friends

Belgium trainers & breeders are among the best and are held in high esteem by many people around the world. I imagine being able to attend the championships is pretty amazing.

I have been very lucky this year. We had the Provincial Limburg Championship at one of my clubs, then the Belgium Championship only 60 kms from us, and i have watched a lot of Schutzund Trials as well
Most of all i have learned a lot by watching these good Handlers and there Dogs,
Plus i am blessed with the help we get from these Two Top Trainers who help us with our two Pups,
Fred is thought a lot of by those who see him work, even outsiders are impressed with the willingness to work he has,
but he still has an issue he has to overcome, but he is improving a trememdous amount since we have had the help of these two experienced guys,Yes i am a lucky fellow and i appreciate it very much indeed

Yea I understand to stay focused on your training you need positive energy around you. Our club has had its ups and downs but for now the people are great and friendly. We had some people in our club that were great trainers but were so rude to new members that they would stop coming so we voted them out.Do you have a good helper areound your area?

The First Club we Joined started Okay and i explained to them we were complete novices with G.S Dogs and this sort of training, After a time the Trainer Started saying he could make Fred forget me if he had him a week. He said this about six or so times in front of about 10 other People and he said it in Dutch, but i understood every word he said to them,
This got me a little Mad and a bit Sad to think a Trainer would say this but i never said anything i just took it, After several weeks i trained Fred on my own and The Club Committee made life very unwellcoming towards us two English fellows my brother and me.
In the meantime Fred was off with a Pano Problem, when we got back the People running the Club did not even say hello, But at this time Baby Goran was only tiny so we did take him down there, It got so it was uncomfortable to be there so we stopped going this last three weeks
BUT' if they think they have drove us away they are in for a suprise,
When Fred becomes Old enough and Good enough to go for his Start of his Work in Schutzund his BH to start with
I am going to do it at a trial at that Club, No other one
I want to Rub it in that the Engles are not so thick as they thought we were,
You may think me a Bit Vindictive in my thoughts But it may well be right, I will show them up for what they are,
This i made my mind up to do when i last walked away from there , and without being bigheaded i always keep my promise, it will be so

If it is so it is so You have alot off competion their but surely being in Belgium there is a club on every block. We just had our club trial we flew a judge in from Belgium (Rinus) was his name awsome trainer maybe you could hook up with him.You keep that positive attitude you will go far.Ya know when people ask me about a club I tell them its just a place to share opinions i train my dog myself i share and get knowlage at my club. So my advice is you and your brother do the training get Ivan Balabanovs video "The Game" and Clear "Communication" both are excellent videos and if ya ever find yourself in the states your more than welcome to come to the club for some Positive training

You Mention Rinus Bastinsson, is an awesome Trainer,
I quite agree with you he is, and He is the trainer who Looks after my Brother and myself with out Two Pups, that is why i say i am so lucky.
The Other fellow who helps us training, when Rinus is away is the fellow who helps to look after Rinus Dogs when he is abroad, so we are double Lucky. I will see Rinus tonight in a couple of hours time Training i will tell him i met you through the site

Our six Month Old Pup Goran, was Bred by Rinus, he is a Son of his 'Zasko' He is a very genuine man and after training we have a drink and a few laughs.
He did not get to the club tonight, i guess he had a lot to catch up on, But his Helper worked with us and Dog ;Fred; this fellow was trained by Rinus and is a Qualified Pakwerker and very good with Dogs so we did not miss out,
