Tapes seem to be the most common so if you regularly see fleas on Levi then the odds go up for tapeworms. Look at his poo...you'll find some types of worms in there, if he has them. Then the same day (what are the odds?), another program where another doctor said at least 50% of people have worms and don't know it. I'm buying some deworming stuff, just in case

You feeding him right? How about some Science Diet or something from Purina, that might fill him out. Oh, back to the thread. Why deworm as a matter of course? If there isn't any parasites in the dog, why? Doesn't the vet services just stick the sample under a 25 cent microscope and look for organisms? Thats why it only costs about 14 dallors or so (in my neighborhood any way). Why put the animal threw any kind of treatment if not needed? Am I missing something? Randy
