Heather
Welcome! You're in the right place for help.
I'm glad to hear that your pup ate the yogurt, zero appetite is not good.
Is her poop very dark, yellow/orange or very stinky?
Has she been vaccinated recently?
I wouldn't feed anybody egg beaters, it doesn't have the yolk which makes it's nutrients unbalanced, it also has salt and spices, which your dog doesn't need.
I'm also for raw food diets for dogs.
I'm wondering about vaccines, too, Debbie. What can you tell us about your pup's vaccine history? I would take a stool sample to the vet, too...you can also get probiotics from the vet that will help your pup's stomach balance out quicker.
I wholeheartedly agree to stop feeding the pet store/grocery store kibble, but that's an issue not directly related to your immediate problem...but for sure, right now, plain yogurt, as much water as he/she wants, cooked white rice, boiled chicken, plain pumpkin( just a little ) until no more runs.
find out there's nothing wrong from the vet, too!
keep posting here with updates...this forum and Ed's website is a treasure trove of help and great products that have been tested by professionals all over the country!!!
This is more for after the stomach is settled. I put my pups on The candie dog kibble it is all natural. It made a big Difference A lot of people on this site know a lot welcome I have learned a lot in the 3 weeks I have been on here. Your in the right place good luck.
After all night with just a little yogurt, "Sugar" is doing much better. Her non-stop diarhea has stopped. Her stool is a little harder but much better than before. Thanks!
As far as vaccinations go, Im not too sure. We took her to get shots when we first got her. All I know is that she hasnt had rabies shot yet. We took her to the groomer and they wouldnt take her because she hadnt had that shot yet. They said she may be too young, probably true. She is due for shots soon. Im going to call the vet and ask what shots she is due for, and what exactly they are for, because according to most on this site, a ton of shots arent always a good idea.
So when I think Sugar is getting better. She starts having diarhea again, and she threw up this morning. Im not sure what it looked like because I wasnt home. I just got a phone call. She has an appt. with the vet Saturday, poor puppy. I have no idea whats wrong.
