Marshallville Meats, Marshallville, OH -- beef hearts, marrow bones and other organ meats. They do their own butchering of locally-grown cattle and hogs.
Gerber Poultry, Kidron, OH -- Chicken components. Locally grown, hormone-free chicken, This is a processing plant.
Nice idea. I'm in Mississippi and unless someone kills a deer or I go to walmart to my knowledge there are not any local sources. So i hope someone else in my state has some sources. There is a lady that sells ostrich meat on the other side of the state. If i find her site i will post it.
How about Texas.....anyone? I usually just go to local grocerys but am seriously considering rodentpro since my cats are also on raw and the 14 year old is notoriusly finicky. This list will be a godsend!
edited to say rodentpro has the stuff I want but their shipping costs are pretty high.
Now that the temps are cooling down, you should be able to have companies ship ground to you. Just wait for a cold week and you should be all set. They wont guarantee a frozen arrival if you have them ship ground but with an insulated box filled to the top with rodents you shouldnt have a problem with them thawing.
I am the piedmont triad area of NC.
I get most of my meat from the Farmers Market in Greensboro. There is a farmer there that has all organic meats, chicken backs, necks, duck, beef, lamb, turkey,rabbit.... all except the duck and rabbit are a dollar a pound.
I have also ordered from http://www.hare-today.com/ and there is a fish market beside my house, i can't think of the name. I will post it when i find it. They give me free fish heads.

You are VERY fortunate indeed! Is it a year-round farmers' market?
yep!!!! i just found out about this, i was going broke buying from the grocery store. But this guy is there every weekend, year round. I just call the day before to make sure he brings the type/amount i need.
They also sell a premade raw diet made by i think Nu Dimentions, but i just buy from him.
