Vanilla ice cream??? WTF??
Come on, people, it's obvious!
Purina is part of the Nestle conglomerate. You may be familiar with some of their other brands - Dreyer's, Haagen-Dazs, Nestle Ice Cream, FrostyPaws, Starbucks Ice Cream, Skinny Cow. . . So there's a good chance your money will end up in the same pocket.
Get the picture?

Personally I like the Hostess twinkie and ding dong diet for nursing dogs. I really think that's better than puppy chow.

I feel you guys. I had a client who's vet told him to feed his overweight dog purina fit and trim (http://www.longliveyourdog.com/products/FitTrim.aspx)...
Also had a vet tell someone to use a gentle leader for nipping. When the dogs go to nip jerk the lead..maybe the vet would then treat the dog for the neck problems.

Personally, I'd prefer that. Around me, you can stand in front of any one of them and look up and down the street and see 2 or 3 more!

I was gonna' type something quick and witty, but I really can't think of anything here. Is there anybody that regulates these people?
I guess clients are the only ones that can hold a vet accountable.
I laughed when I first read this. The more I think about it, the more sad it is. It literally makes me sick to my stomach to think that this guy is giving care and advice to pet owners.
On second thought, I think we should get this guy in the national eye. His views on nutrition would make a fresh raw diet sound good to anyone. People would switch immediately and never give it a second thought.

I would hope so, but I know for a fact my sister would choose Ice Cream over raw chicken.
She thinks I am nuts "giving all that good food to A dog" but I tell her, "hey, no WAY is the dog getting ANY of my Starbucks Ice Cream, that is MINE...I can go without chicken."

Ain't gonna happen. I don't think it's newsworthy.
Personally, I think the majority of dog owners think we're the fringe group, feeding raw food instead of "balanced" kibble (yuck!), using those cruel prong collars, making a dog be obedient instead of letting them bounce along at the end of a 25-ft. flexi lead. I'd be interested to know exactly how many people changed their dog's diet due to the tainted dog food scare, or just found another brand of kibble that was "safe." I'll bet the change was almost immeasurable.

As much as I want to disagree, I think you are correct so I can't.

I would like to see that as well.
