What a great Christmas Present to yourself
I would just want to squish her all day long, her teeth may get in the way...but I would try
Congrats and look forward to hearing more about her.

Damn girl, I have six dogs (four of whom are 14 weeks) and none of my dogs gets ANY one on one time, ever (granted, I was not prepared for my rescue female to be pregnant, but I digress).
I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do when my pups finally (if ever) find homes. I have a TON of respect that you can manage six dogs - I certainly can't and I have learned my lesson - I have rescued my last female, haha.
Your puppy is gorgeous and so cute. Love the snow on her fur.

Congrats on the new girl. What a great looking pup. Her facial expression in that picture says it all, very alert and confident looking, almost humanlke.
I have trouble finding time to keep one occupied, I have no idea how you handle six at once. Keep us updated on her progress.

Thanks everyone.
Angela, your dogs are rescues. Trust me; rescues take at least twice the time that a non-rescue "normal" pup or dog takes. When I had Stark, I felt like I had 10 dogs. When he left, it felt like I had maybe 2...although I still had 6! The individual dog and how well he/she fits in makes all the difference. I swear I spend 5x the time dealing with Mia and all her havoc than I do on all the others put together. Plus, you've got puppies-10x the work. Mine are aged 8,4,2,1,5mos,2.5mos...so they're a bit more spread out. I would not have the patience to deal with all the rescues you do, and believe me, my dogs are EASY compared to what you probably deal with on daily basis. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I CAN spend a lot of time w/them, but they're pretty easy to deal with. So, I commend you.
Bringing them to work makes the difference between being able to do it fairly and not being able to do it at all. All the time I'm posting on this board, I have a dog under my desk or am playing ball in my office. Other than Mia, who simply cannot behave herself in a business setting, they all get to go to work at least once or twice per week. Some I can bring in two's. That way, they get both quiet time w/Mom and play time outside every couple hours or so. You really get in a routine so that the actual number doesn't really matter. I feel like 6 is about all I can handle and be fair to each of them, though, so don't think I'm saying 10 is the same as 2.
I just wanted to clarify that I'm not Superwoman or anything; I just have a great job and ZERO life outside my dogs! Anyway, thanks for all the compliments on Qira

Randy Puppy fever is highly contagious. I need to stay off of websites for a while; I always seem to get myself in trouble! Thanks for the compliment; I'm not sure Qira would say the same. She thinks her mom is just a buzz-kill. Everything she want to do gets vetoed .

Oh! How on earth did I miss this post yesterday! Ai, she is gorgeous!
Jenni, you and Yuko and everybody else with their gorgeous pictures of gorgeous GSDs are infecting me with the GSD bug. I had a feeling this would happen as I have always had a love for shepherds since the first breed my family latched onto (right before rotties and amstaffs/pits) was the GSD. All of my first memories of dogs are of shepherds.
For some reason my family (meaning aunts/uncles/cousins/parents) all sort of played the "oh thats a great dog, I must have one now" game throughout the years and when one person got a dog that everybody loved, the very next dog everybody else got was that breed, until good breeders became hard to find and then a new breed was introduced by whoever's other dog had recently passed and the cycle started over hah. I am trying to get my family (pretty dog savvy people with me as the ringleader :laugh back into GSDs.
Ah. she's just so pretty it breaks my heart!

What an adorable pup! Lucky for me I'm immune from puppy fever for AT LEAST a week. I was babysitting a friend's giant schnauzer pup and I am still recovering...puppies are tiring!
But congrats on the new addition...how about you raise her, and once you've got her well-trained, you can ship her to me. Sound fair?

Thanks. Sandy, I literally take hundreds of pictures a day. Only a few are not streaking black blurs. I do have a very nice camera, for which I am thankful. They grow up so fast; I look through Caleb's all the time and never think I have too many.
