Kevin,
I feel the same way. I believe that he should wear it on patrol(and does). In training the trainer will even hold the transmitter for the timing in correction. I believe that my dog came overseas with a knowledge of the collar. He was differnet the first time I put it on, but also knows when he does not have it on. Although he passed certification without it he, is so much cleaner with it. He has never needed more a 1 or 2 on the dial from my Tri-Tronics. I hate when he is off leash and take a short cut or cheap shot and I can't give a correction. Would he have recalled on that area search???? With the collar I just gave a quick nick with command and he came right over. Nice to have that insurance.
