I've considered competitive obedience but it really isn't her "thing". I hoped to have her into something even more physically demanding. I know her personality, and competitive obedience wouldn't be much fun for her.
Why would you say that OB would not be fun for her? You say she is prey driven, have you dug into the methodology on training obedience in prey drive? If not, check out a local Schutzhund club and see how they are training obedience. It is night and day different than the classic AKC style that ends up with a dogs head dropping and ears going back when they hear the word "heel". Many of the strongest, most stubborn dogs LOVE to heel provided they have prey drive and are taught properly in drive. The whole concept is to make the dog feel that she is in control and pushing your buttons to get what she wants... a bite! Just something to think about.
Why don't you use a dog pack with some stuff in it? Cesar Millen uses a dog backpack to tire out aggressive/very active dogs on the walk and Ed sells a very nice looking weighted vest on this site for just that purpose as well.
Hey, scootering looks pretty fun! Sch also sounds neat...
Also, believe it or not, I find that tracking/trailing really wears my pup out also. You can avoid the dog aggression since yours will be on lead and working
Schutzhund would be good for her. Even if she weren't cut out for protection work, you can earn all of the Obedience & Tracking titles individually, plus there is the AD (Endurance Test). Tracking can tire a dog out, because of the required focus and mental stimulation. The Bh, which is the beginning for SchH, would allow you to work on dealing with her dog aggression. The dogs don't interact, but they do have to be within about 6 feet of eachother, on leash.
Thanks everyone. She went on a 8.18 mile run yesterday with my bike, and still wanted to go more.
I will definitely look into schutzhund type events with her. I planned on buying her a dog scooter in the future as well, but the really neat one I was looking at is $300! Ah, in time.
I need to go read about the endurance test. It's sounds interesting.
