From what you guys are telling me, it sounds like he's a plush coat. He doesn't have shaggy feet, either, and he fits Katie's description pretty well.
Thanks - I will keep researching/googling, but I think you have answered my question. He just doesn't look like the short stock coats we had as kids, which threw me. To me, he's the most beautiful dog in the world, so I am not disappointed in any way, just surprised. It's funny how you don't know what you might love until you have it. I set out looking to buy a sable short-coated pup, and ended up w/a bi-color, who is probably plush. LOL!

Hi Susan,
Well I wouldn't exactly call her feet shaggy, but she does have slightly longer hair in between her toes -- more so on her front feet. Can you see her feet well enough to tell in this picture?
OK, maybe he's s long stock coat rather than plush. LOL. Katie - Kodee's coat doesn't look nearly as thick as yours, from what I can tell from your other picture.
Now I'm back to wondering... I wish I knew someone I could ask around here, but I doubt my vet would know, and I tried to reach Kodee's breeder a while back, and the phone # was disconnected...oh, well...
What is the undercoat? When do pups loose the puppy coat and get.... What? Two coats (under and upper)? Stupid question but if I do not ask I will be forever wondering.
