It appears to me from looking at the pictures of dummy collars that the Dogtra has plastic contacts and the Innotek has metal contacts. Is plastic less likely to cause skin irritation?
Hello Everyone;
Just a couple of notes concerning fitting the Dogtra collars. If the collar is not snug against the skin, the rubbing action will wear, causing a sore much sooner. Most of my clients live in a multi person household, so I suggest that the collar always starts underneath the chin in the morning, mid day, move to one ear or the other then to the other ear. Not for training, as it doesn't matter wear the actual box is, but just for wear purposes. That way you don't have to leave a note to tell the other person where or when to move the collar. If there is a wear spot, treat with tea tree oil or an antibotic cream. I also suggest with the cinch it collars to also move it up and down the neck as the collar does not breath. You should not be able to twist the collar when it is on. Hope this helps.

Hi Michelle;
I haven't had any experience with them. I will call Dogtra on Monday and get some info and try them out for you so I can talk intelligently. I wonder if it does increase the amount of sensation that the dog feels? I'll get some answers for you.

It's call the SCG-LBM adapter. You change it out on the dogtra collar in 5 minutes and never have to turn the collar or anything. Set it and forget it, lol

I received the metal pads today. Looks like a home run. The stim level is slightly lower with the pads versus the posts. There is a another benefit to the pads. The posts are less irritating to my dog. He was constantly scratching his neck with the posts. He hasn't scratched once with the pads.
