Mr. Frawley, I am by far still the little woman on the toltem pole in the dog world, and I am sorry if I came off the wrong way. I just have a few friends in the puppy program, and in the dod program, and I am also familiar with the consignment process that they use, and I can agree with what you say about how not anybody can train a dog, whether here or overseas.
Sorry to offend you and your web forum with offering my help for the other person with the training program. I just wanted to be nice, one dog lover to another, and not start anything. Lastly, the Mondioring club is always welcoming more friends and their dogs. I just wanted to put that invite out there for the club. I hope this makes some peace.

What do you need help with? Why can't you do the dogs obedience yourself? Ob is the fun easy part! Doing it yourself is the way to learn, JMO

I gotta say that I am with Al. Doing the dog's ob is the best way to learn, the best way to bond, the best way to know that you have chosen the methods ... and, as Al says, is the fun, easy part!
I'd rather get a video from LB than pay a stranger any day.
Wow-- I think perhaps there was a misconception here about what I was looking for and that the thread got a little off topic.
First, thank you for all of the advice and feedback.
Second, I wanted to clarify that the reason I was looking for a trainer is for some coaching for ME, not someone to train my dogs for me. I don't think anyone here can say that they did not take pointers or advice from someone else (either via book, website, dvd, or in person) while they were learning to train, and would also appreciate the opportunity to learn from someone more experienced. I DO have the LB dvd, and it has helped tremendously-- thank you. I am also admittedly a beginner with two rescued, large, medium/high drive dogs, and do not think there's anything wrong with seeking help if I need it. This is also why I frequent LB's forum.
Thank you Ed for your fantastic website and products, both of which are of the highest quality.
