I think Amber was talking about scratches on the hardwood floors from the nails from walking on them (eventually)
Yes. Although when Carbon was a pup I don't think he ever walked. Everything was full-tilt with skid marks on our floors to prove it!
I lost many flip-flops, too, with my Corgi!
I had written "running" but actually deleted it cause we talk so much about tethering , so I was trying to put on a good show.
I'm not saying I never let him off the tether sometimes (I did!) but I will say that even on the tether, he was a furry pogo stick/draft horse.
Johnny, my bi-color really only darkened up around his face...the rest of him stayed pretty much the same. But many of the black and tans look like bi-colors when they're pups. What do your pup's parents look like?
Yeah I like the bi-colour look too. My pup (not a GSD) was born almost all black, and now at 7 months he's a saddleback.
You can see she's going to get more brown because her 3 months pics, the brown on her legs has started to creep up compared to her 8 week pics. The most dramatic change for my pup was between 5.5 and 6.5 months old when he lost the black on his hind legs/thighs up to his hips.
Edit- my pup is the 2nd one in my sig and the photo there you can clearly see the brindle coming in over the black on his back legs. He was just turned 6 months then. He's 7 months now and the black shading is all gone.
I just LOVE her face. She is a cutie no matter what colour pattern she is.
