exactly....Tucker will be coming back to me full run after fetching a ball and will sometimes stop mid stride, with ball in mouth and focus on a shadow or light on the ground. A firm No and he's back on track bringing me the ball but he definately would do the lights over a ball any day.
And if the light or shadow is too enticing (like the shdow of a bird flying across the ground) he has been known to drop the ball and chase that) But again, a quick NO from me and he stops and picks up the ball. It's almost like he jsut can't stop himself.
But laser is spelt LASER not LAZER- and it's not just my English education that puts "s" instead of "z". It stands for Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation.

haha I thought something looked wrong, but I wasn't sure if it was an American vs. European spelling difference. Everyone was writing "lazer." I get confused easily
A friends dog spends all it's time staring at the ground, it started with a laser and became any shiny light on the ground, the reflection from a watch etc, anything at all, this is the dogs life............such a shame, had nice drive too,
AL
I thought lazer (with a z) was simply the zippy marketing spelling for laser lights they sell specifically for dogs.
Robinn, I'm sure glad you weren't looking for an argument!
Actually, the package that we had spelled it "lazer". Had we been discussing laser eye surgery, I might have spelled if differently, lol!
As far as looking for an arguement...not me. I'm just not the arguementative type.
Very interesting discussion, guess I'll have to get rid of the darn thing. Wait, is it okay to use with a cat? They just stare off into space all day anyway, don't they?
I definitely have a new perspective on this issue now. Thanks for the replies.
I pulled out the laser a couple of weeks ago and my dog sniffed it, decided it was nothing, and totally ignores it. I was a bit disappointed at the time, but now I'm glad after reading this thread.
