Very pretty girl. From the pics to me looks to calm. Evan my mellow boy would have a hard time taking them pics. Maybe a good first time mal. If looking to do ring or PSA and not willing to put the TIME and effort into than maybe not the right dog. I would look at this dog if I had the chance
Lindsay, I believe it was your trainer that said he wasn't comfortable with you having a Malinois? However, you didn't say why he was uncomfortable with it, only that you agreed with him. I think the answer to that question would help you determine whether or not a Mal would be right for you. If you are fit and have a high energy level, that would be a plus.
Perhaps you can take your trainer with you to meet the pup. It might be the best thing to do. There might be something about this particular pup that would change his mind. If he can't go with you, as Robbin said, JJ Belcher lives in Tucson, maybe he can meet you at the location and give you his input.
Also, the write-up on the pup didn't say a police officer didn't want the pup, it said "and she ought to belong to a police officer."
I sent Ben a text message and said he couldn't do it. He was the one who gave me an advice that I shouldn't get a malinois. He said I should check it out anyway because you can't find good dogs out of rescue.
He told me to ask JJ B so I sent him a text message. He said he could do it and asked me if want to meet at his house or at the park. I explained him that I didn't have the puppy. I have to make an arrangement first. I have to wait for a rescue to contact me somehow. I'm pretty young and very active. I like to hike/jog and I'm involved with rock climbing.
Dennis,
May I ask why you said no? Do you have a good reason why I shouldn't?

Lindsay, I would talk to J.J. He has, what, five? He's also who you would probably be working w/for M/F ring anyway. I'd consult him.
Oh Robbin...why must you draw attention to our malinois herd?! I think really deep down...you want one too! I can't wait to come see you guys again...I have a little surprise...it has something to do with last weekend, my birthday, a proposal and a rock.
Lindsay, we just helped rescue an approx 2yr old mali female that was found in Phx. The foster home she is in currently is letting her settle in and is going to evaluate her. I don't know much history but I can keep you posted on her progress...in case you might want a little bit older dog? I have pics so you can PM me your email address...I'm sure JJ has it too so I could get it from him. That puppy is adorable though!
LOL well the message was to you too... thus the 'you guys' part. It was the cutest ever... he said he thought Phendi had something and he told her to go show her mom. So she came running in, jumped on the couch and dropped it in my lap, then he asked. I couldn't think of a cuter proposal...only us crazy dog ppl!
Woah, way off topic for this forum I guess. Oops! Well it's sorta dog related I guess? The moral of the story is malinois are good for a million things...including carrying rings to conduct proposals.
I wouldn't mind to see two years old malinois in phx. What is her temperament like and is she good with dogs? Does she have issues with anyone touching her feet, ears, muzzle, and any aggression issues? I don't mind to adopt an adult dog. I'm uncomfortable about bringing adult dog home because of what happened to Cody.

Did you see the puppy yet and where are the pictures??? I absolutely LOVE her look, she is gorgeous. Whatever your choice is I'm sure you will make the right one for you.
