.... since I have joined, what happened yesterday has NEVER happened at ALL. ... Maybe that is from good mods, ....
No question. It's the mods.
Alyssa beat me. I was wondering whether Michael had decoyed, too.
(And Michael, it's not a closed club here. Don't get the wrong idea. There are twelve thousand members. )

Just please don't start picking fights or insulting people. That is generally not tolerated at all.
Not directed at all towards you Cameron :
I think we are past this. No real need to keep mentioning it. It is already mentioned in two or three other threads.
We are all passionate about what we do and sometimes it spills over. The mods as well as Ed and Cindy are great about it.
Sometimes it is hard to break habits or open our minds to new methods. I had to do it, and now I am open to listening to all about dog training and not just stuck on one or two trainers.
It is actually great that we can all co-exist and discuss all kinds of training here.

im sorry camron, you should really see what we do here before you comment, i knew your comment would say something like that, all owners are responsible for the actions of thier dogs, they sign a release, belieive me our asses are covered, and its our jobs to make sure the dogs have a safe enviornment. again you do not understand. if something happens ,it happens, but overall we have a huge amount of clients that love it here. i mean the humans as well as the dogs. if you could see into the future we would all be millionaires.

I may not agree with the whole "doggie day care" thing, but I agree with Michael here, most pet owners LOVE this way of care for their dogs.
It is really not up to us to "tell" Michael he "is wrong" and what he does "is bad" as we are not there to physically see the set up and behaviors.
Again....I reiterate....I do not necassarily agree with what he does.
The pics did show dominance...I agree....
All we can do is offer advice and opinions rather than criticism and remarks.
I am guilty.....I admit it.....but I am over it (does not last long usually) and am ready to move on and discuss things rationally.

How can you train PPD, if you don't know how to decoy?

Well, a big part of why I don't like the "doggie daycare" idea, and yes, we do have them in this area, is for the reasons you yourself gave.
I am training my dog for PPD and protection sports. I don't need my dog going and having a terrific time all day with bunch of dogs. She won't work for me with near the enthusiasm, if she loves playing with other dogs, more than me.
One negative experience at daycare could cause a major setback in training for us. Something very VERY simple, like yourself or another person accidently stepping on my dogs foot, could cause a training issue, even if it didn't really hurt her.
So, there's two reasons (and there are others, as well).

..... or dog-dog aggression, which could be a major setback no matter what the dog's purpose/training, including companion animal.
