Thanks for the info Connie. Sounds like Cleo is experiencing what the article describes.
UPDATE ON CLEO:
Before going up to be last night (8:30 or so), gave her a couple of spoonfuls of yogurt. Fed her dinner at around 6-6:30.
At 4 am, she did it again. I examined more closely the vomitus and it is indeed slightly off-color (very light tint of yellow) and was a little foamy. Again, no food, object or hair in it. Tonight I will try to give her some dried rabbit/sweet potato treats right before bed, to get something more substantial in her.

Looks like the problem may be solved, temporarily at least.
I fed her dinner at about 7:30, 1-2 hours later than usual. Also, at bedtime a gave her a treat and a few treats when I woke up in the middle of the night (several times) to check on her.
And.....NO VOMITING this morning
Thanks Connie and Alyssa
P.S. I wonder if dogs on the raw diet (like Cleo) produce more stomach acid to digest the whole bone they eat? Would make sense that their bodies would acclimate. And then, those dogs with sensitive stomachs get irritated and vomit the excess acid when there's nothing in there to digest? Please excuse the random thought.
