I too, am sorry for the loss of your girl. It's never easy...just have to go on with the memories of the times you had with her...Domino...girl. Thoughts are with you guys and Turbo today.
Michael,
It's a shock when a beloved pet leaves us so suddenly. I teared up just reading this!
How wonderful that she could drift so peacefully to her next life! And what wonderful gifts you guys gave her while she was on this planet. That is a really beautiful memorial you picked out.
Take good care...

Oh, Michael, I'm so sorry.
But I'm so glad that she went gently and that the seizure issue never even had a chance to affect her life.
She blessed your lives and you blessed hers. You loved each other and respected each other, and she had care and a wonderful diet (and to a foody senior dog, I know how much that means!). And yes, in her sleep position, there's no doubt that she went gently.... and in her comfortable and safe home.
Sorry for your loss Michael, I had tears in my eyes this morning at work when I read this - employees were probably wondering what was wrong with me - she looked like a great dog and I know their time on this earth is way too short
7:30 was another rough time. I only had one dog to feed and no dog crying at the back door waiting for her turn.(She had THK while Turbo ate the "real deal" outside, then when he was done she got to come out for the "real deal".)
She was also deaf. "Come on" was a big, circular wave with my arm. It was very different to not have to do that at all yesterday and this morning.
I took her leftover meds to the vet and they said that they had an elderly couple who could use them for their dog. Also, my friend has a working lab who will enjoy Domino's sweet Kuranda bed.
It is very different without her. The soreness in my muscles and blisters on my hands from making her grave are reminders of our "spotted dog". I wish it would never go away.
Oh, Michael, I was hoping this would go the other way for you.
The tribute for her grave looks wonderful. I have all my lost girls in a little grove each one with her own tree. I have a little plaque out there by the path that says "Angels Gather Here"
I know you will see your wonderful spotted dog again. You gave her many good years and you have years of good memories of her.
Michael and Ashley - So sorry to hear about Domino. I beleive we will be reunited with our lost pets in heaven because it just wouldn't be heaven without them. Give that cute little baby a hug for me.
