Glad to hear Hambone is doing better. I just talked to a trainer in Columbus "Pawsitive Energy". They said the same thing I was told at Petco. Get Molly out and about seeing people and dogs with lots of praise and treats.
Since this cold snap however we haven't been out much. Her skin is getting a lot better but the hair hasn't grown back. Last couple outings she was shivering on the way back to the car. I've always said I would never put clothes on a dog but I'm going to have to look into a jacket for her until her hair gets filled in.
Matt, I am glad Molly is getting better. She is a beauty!
Just out of curiosity, has her thyroid been checked? Hambone was over the top aggressive when I finally took him to the vet and found out his thyroid was bad. With Molly's skin and hair issues and aggression (?), I was curious if the vet thought to check.
As to the walk abouts, you are very good with the clicker and various other training methods, so I know you will get Molly to be, at least, neutral with people and dogs. I owned a pitbull and had a pit/lab cross adopt me, and both were a bit standoffish with most people and definitely needed their space. Some are like that. Molly may be like that. But it is apparent she respects and loves you, so you will have what you want some day.
As to the coat or vest, my pit wore one in the winter on the farm. So what? It is for Molly's comfort. Make is splashy!
