but no, she "just can't trust any monster that has to wear a muzzle and THAT torture collar in public..."
I find cracking up laughing is the most effective response to idiots like that. Besides it's none of other peoples business what I use on my dog.
Yup. It works pretty well, too .
Here in VT, prong collars and the type of dog who would need one (please) are "the devil" (as Natalya can attest to!), so I bought one of these. I'm not generally a person who cares what people think, but if I'm having a cranky day and I catch a nasty look or hear some passive-aggressive comment....it just prevents potentially nasty exchanges.
Maybe I'm just argumentative but I enjoy those exchanges. In fact I think when I go home tonight I'm gonna put 2 prongs, an e-collar,a bark collar, and an old rusty choke on the puppy and head into petsmart. Can you give him a treat? I'm not sure, lets give it a try.

Yeah, I'm looking at that little face of his in your sig, and just imagining the comments at Petsmart...(I'm betting on the 80 year old granny with the cocker-poo actually spitting at you...)

With my luck it'll be an 80yr old woman with chewin tobbacky.
haha yeah thanks for the support I work with him every day but at 7 months old and a high drive GSD his drive gets the best of him sometimes. I don't even use the live ring anymore he just knows he has to not be a blockhead when it is on. I think if they are fit right and not abused it can make a world of difference.
Idiots are on the edge, everywhere and make the world go round...some of them own yapping, biting, humping, snappy dogs...that are oh sooooooo well trained in their opinion...
My take is this, because they are always on the edge, it stops the good responsible folks like us with our pronged well mannered dogs....from falling off!
I am with Steve, arguments can be sooooo cleansing
