I know this is really off topic and not directed to the O.P., but Leerburg would never in a million years sell a dog food with flour in the first place on the ingredient list.
Grain-free dog foods include:
Instinct
Orijen
Wellness Core
Innova Evo
Timberwolf Organics
...
That is off the top of my head. There are others too. My dogs eat Orijen kibble. If you have a dog that is gluten intolerant you should read the labels carefully. Although grain free, they do contain certain vegetables, fruits and supplements (don't know if any contain gluten).
And if you have the money.. you can feed a pre-made raw dog food product such as Bravo or Nature's Variety (here you can get frozen raw food at the pet store) or a home made raw diet.
For treats I buy string cheese (like the kind you would put into kids lunches) and slice them up into dime-sized pieces. My dogs love it. I actually also use their Orijen kibble as treats since they love it so much.
Wellness also makes grain free treats, as does Zuke's. Leerburg sells the Zuke treats.
My town actually has 3 pet health food stores. See if you can find one in your area, go in, and ask to see their grain-free products.

That is correct. The barley flour was the first ingredient for the two THK treats. Like I said was not looking to start a debate rather than I am just trying to learn all the options of foods and snacks out there that have a healthy property. Leerburg has great products that I will purchase.
The gluten issue is with me and not my dog. I have Celiac Disease and the most minuscule amount will get me sick now. I wish this on no one. Gluten is in EVERYTHING from pills to the glue on envelopes never mind all the food. I am looking to improve our dogs diet as well as mine.

In addition to the other suggestions, I've used Canine Genius IQ treats. 100% baked wild salmon squares with nothing else included. Similar to the Grizzly Nu-Treats. Stupid product name but my dog loves them.
