Sometimes I do that for a first post and send a PM. This one is overwhelming, though. "
The information was posted to try and help someone... you are making me sorry I attempted to do so. Maybe a private message to me expressing the fact that you were overwhelmed would have been more appropriate than taking a jab.

That was not supposed to be a "jab" any more than Will's was. You are right, and I apologize. (And I mean it sincerely; I'm not a jab kind of person, in general. )
I am dismayed that the "confirmation" spelling of conformation came from a breeder.
P.S. When we copy and paste text here, we credit it to the author or provide a web link to the original. Thanks. ( Not a jab -- just information. )
I responded defensively and should not have been so touchy... my apologies as well.
I believe the "confirmation" vs "conformation" was a typo - this breeder knows the difference. In all fairness, Hans Buflod (author of that information) was doing me a favor in answering a question I posed after getting "dissed" recently (not here) for my dog coming from German show lines vs straight working lines. I sincerely appreciated his taking the time to give me the explanation and it never dawned on me to pick apart the manner in which he shared his thoughts. I misspeak and "step on my twinkie" every day, seven days a week, as do most folks I know.
However, if the action is well intended, I appreciate the effort.
Barb, my post was made in humor, but it has a point - people will not read huge blocks of type like that in a post and you do yourself a dis-service if you post something like that as very few will read it in that form.
I am wanting to train a dog in obedience and tracking, but it will also be a house dog that needs to be manageable indoors. If anyone else has information or an opinion feel free to post.
Show line's are great dogs if you are looking for a dog with a lack of drive, lack of will to please, and lack of attention span and focus. With some (a lot of) luck the dog will be trainable without making you go too crazy, but when you get his hip x-rays back you'll probably cry.
Go find a nice working line litter, there's plenty that'd fit the bill.
