Wow, thanks for all the great info. I also love the t-shirt graphic. I think I am wanting it a little too much both ways. When it comes right down to it it is more important for the pack to get along. But I also really want to train a SCHh dog.I will be doing the bite work (Schutzhund) on my own as there are not too many people who share my interests in this little town. My show shepherd has some trouble with fear of dogs and people( but is doing a lot better threw marker training), so i like the idea of keeping them seperate at first so as to not pass on bad habbits. As I was watching the one little male today he seemed to be picking a fight with all the other pups, he is also the one who barks at approching people etc.(dosn't seem fearful). In the end I'm know no pup I get will be perfect so I just need to pick my battels I guess. I'm sure all the info on the dvds and web board will help greatly. Thanks again everyone.
Please remember that you do not HAVE to get a puppy from THIS litter. If you are not 100000% confident that the puppy is exactly what you have always dreamed of, don't buy it. You sound like you are about to make concessions and "pick battles" that don't have to be.
A dog is a 15 year commitment. Get the one you want, don't just get one because he's available. This is all the more important if you expect it to get along with existing pets.
There will ALWAYS be more puppies, and don't forget you can have one shipped to you from a great breeder.
Very, very excelent point, Angela. Thank you. I will keep this in mind. I'm off to a Michael Ellis seminar this weekend, should be fun! Thanks for the help!!!!
