I use the context of my 13 year old dog that I've had since he was six weeks old. I used the corgis in the video because none of you have seen either of my dogs in person or in a video, let alone this particular incident. I'm sorry if it was a flawed example. I'll attempt to bridge the two.
Rasta playfully growls a lot during tug and gets just as riled as the corgi puppy in the 8 Weeks to 8 Months video with the exact same rough play...which he doesn't get too much of at his age. I haven't rough housed with Duke like that up until now. The pitch of the growl and the lack of visual stress signs or active submission leads me to believe that Duke wasn't stressed.
Maybe I gave the impression that I was hitting hard, if so I apologize. If it were a musical note it would've been mezzo piano to pianissimo or moderately soft to extremely soft. I get paid to hit things with sticks so I have a decent amount of control over my power.

Raise your hand if you learned to drive from a DVD.
Sarcastic point noted...not appreciated, but noted.
On the flip side. Raise your hand if you think you can accurately correct an error in technique by reading a post.
You actually can learn a great deal from a video. Kids all across this country are learning how to play musical instruments faster and more proficiently than ever by watching lessons on YouTube. I don't think you can accurately presume to know my dog's reaction when you didn't see it or hear the pitch of the growl. You could sure ask some questions about it, though.
