We are feeling that way too Carolyn, being here in Dallas, it has been mostly full sunny days and a scant of rain here and there.
I have been super paranoid of heat stroke, so I really monitor how long I let the dogs out. Enough for some good exercise and then back in the air conditioned house.
The other drawback is they are shedding copious amounts of their fur. The fur balls are forever floating about in our house, no matter how often I clean.
I catch myself staring off in space....dreaming of those glorious winter months.... when we can go for walks without dripping in sweat!

You all should move further north...say to ND lol It's been surprisingly cool so far (normally we'd be running the A/C all day long by now and so far it hasn't gotten hotter than about 85 degrees here. We have had some nasty storms blow through (one on the 8th produced an EF 3 tornado on the south end of Dickinson-about 70mi SW of us). Nothing compared to what most of you guys down south get, but still scary.
Everyone keep cool and dry! I'll package some of my weather and send it south
I'm not a huge fan of winter-living in ND it gets a bit too cold for my liking :P

We've had really nice temps in Ohio: highs in the mid-80s, lows in the low 70s. This week I'm visiting Oklahoma with my dogs. They've got lows in the high 80s and highs over 100! My dogs aren't acclimated to it at all. Our hosts' dogs are more so, but still. By 10 or 11am it's time to come inside. Last night at 10pm it was still 93! That's rebibulous.

We're getting the heat here too, way too hot. 100-105 degrees is too hot to do anything but in the mornings and evenings pretty much.

I'm in OKC. My Mother's whole family is here. I went to college in Edmond and lived here a while; but I forgot what it's like to live in the heat. Seems like we'll get a break from the heat this weekend.

We've had cool, mostly cloudy mornings followed by rain and/or thunderstorms almost every afternoon for weeks now. It hasn't felt like summer. Weird.
I've been grateful for the mornings though.

106 degrees on a M9 qualification range day. That means going out in a bullet "proof" vest(no plates thank god!) and ACU's for about 6 hours. Sucked down 2 full camel baks, 3 powerades, and 6 20oz bottles of water and still felt dehydrated when I got home. Drank another gallon that night and woke up feeling like I hadn't had anything to drink at all. Thank god I've lived in AZ for 6 years prior or I'd really be in trouble. Ft. Bliss is HOT! Mornings are pretty nice though.
