... OH, and I meant buy Preference by THK to add different meats to it.
Why not just add meat to one of the THK formulas with meat? Preference is actually designed as a base to add a novel meat to when a dog cannot tolerate a common one. That is, say you have a dog with a chicken or turkey allergy. Preference allows you to make a new dog food with a meat the dog is not allergic to.
Embark, Force ... All of them have directions for the ratio of cooked or raw meat or RMBs to add to the product. And all can have a different meat added from the one they are based on, providing protein variety.
P.S. Melissa mentioned Dogaware: Dogaware is Mary Strauss's site, and Mary Strauss is waaay up there for knowledge of canine nutrition. She and Lew Olson, in fact, are probably the two best writers online for therapeutic diets. JMHO.
Cool. Actually I bought Force instead of Preference, but Ithought...hell...I don't know what I thought. I guess I thought mixing the meats would be wrong..but you're right. I did mix the salmon with Force, so shouldn't have a problem. It isn't a problem, she is doing great!
I plan on really looking over Dogaware and the links on b-natural. I can't believe how much better in a few days she has gotten from this change I made.
For the first time, Lucy had perfect poop this evening. If I had batteries in my camera, I would have taken a picture.
She has only pooped 3 times today and slept 8 hours straight last night...Thank you Lord.
