Humm, the Blue Wall??? What are you talking about!! Frankly, such an accusation is groundless in todays law enforcement. Today, you are subject to internal reviews, media hysteria, public commissions, civil law suits of state and federal origin, state and federal prosecution, not to mention all the grandstanding that our elected officials partake of in regards to disciplining, ostracizing, pre judging, and scapegoating in regards to controversial law enforcement actions. To add to that most states now have credential review boards for just about any cause that may suspend, or revoke a LEO's ability to work regardless of what all the other avenues of discipline, review, oversight, arrive at.
Are there bad cops, yep, and most others in their field distance themselves from them, they do not jump to their aid and establish a "Blue Wall" to protect them.
In this case, it sounds fishy, it sounds like the guy is heartless. But, once again it is a media report and we should wait until the multitude of legal and administrative options run their course as obviously they have begun.
I can tell you, in my community a cop who is convicted of a crime is treated as a special example by the judiciary. The judges determine the sentence based not only on the violation of the state law but of the public trust as well.

This has been true in all cases I have been aware of also...

I see things like this and I just don't understand. How can this happen??? I don't get why people just let an animal starve to death... find a home for it or for God's sake, end it's misery with a bullet. It takes a LONG time for an animal to starve to death... I've seen emaciated horses that could no longer even stand... and you know what?? They STILL loved people.
I shake my head and cry for the abused animals. I am sad because they did not get to experience the love that my dogs and horses (as well as all of your dogs I'm sure) get each and every day of their lives.
I will hug my dogs and horses numerous times and with each hug, I will say a prayer for the lost and the abused that don't have anyone to love them

The scary part is, he was brought into the K9 program in 2007.
He had two dogs euthanized so he could go on vacation, in 2006.

Yes Alyssa, he did have two dogs euthanized in 2006 claiming they also had "seperation anxiety" and he didn't want to be responsible for them while on vacation! Also, this took place in January...It's pretty freakin cold here, this dog was being starved and freezing to death! Like Kelly said, find a home, use a bullet, why let him suffer?

OMG! I would like to see this rotten sob euthanized! This story is unreal. He clearly shows no respect for the life of dogs and should never be allowed to own another one and ought to be in jail to say the least.
