Randy, he's absolutely adorable. I loved seeing all the pictures!
Thanks so much for sharing, and congrats to you and your family.
Wishing you all the best with him for the future!
Thanks everyone, yeah he's a sweetheart(depending on your definition) right enough. Sorry the pics really aren't up to standard for me, he hardly stands still long enough for a good photo. Believe it or not out of the gazillion shots I have already, aside from a couple I posted, most are some of the clearest without playing in PhotoShop, that is unless evryone likes pictures of sleeping dogs.
Everyone knows I'm a slacker Barbara! Yep, I do lounge around playing with the pup in my free time.....yaahooo. I've got to get back to working with Cassie on a regular basis though, her OB getting more then a little ragged of late. It'll be good when the pup is old enough I can work them together. Big step yesterday! Cassie FINALLY stayed in a down while I did a couple of chase the ball/recall play with the pup routines. I didn't push it past a couple, but maybe Cass is getting the idea.
Sheila, is M.Ellis coming back to Sharon in Oct.? Scott hasn't written me about it yet (or if he has, I've forgotten it). Hmmmm, that'd be a nice start for a 5 month pup wouldn't it! Meet a world class trainer. Not to mention a good thing for the world class schmuck of a handler the poor pup has as well.
Way ahead of the pup on the ankles danger Will. Secret recipe? Boots. Carharts aren't far behind, the other night we came back into the house with him hanging off my pants. He took a run at my leg, just above the knee......the little sucker wouldn't let go either.
I was so proud of him!
I kinda miss being able to pad around the house in my socking feet. If I had unwanted house guests though, I probably wouldn't warn them.LOL
Now here did I put those gloves? And do they make hidden puppy sleeves?
You missed the post. Not to worry, I'm sure your concentration will improve once Strider grows his big boy teeth and the pin holes are replaced by head to toe bruising
Randy, I'm late on this as well, but congrats! He's a beaut and I love the name...
As an aside, my son and I were in Maine (Westbrook) at the end of August, just in time for the 92 degree weather. Glad my Mom has a finished basement, because the rest of the house was like an oven...
Speaking of long absences...and good riddance and all that...I'm not dead but just saw this.
This is Strider at 18 days and then 5 weeks. I LOVED that puppy. He had/has a special "something" about him I just can't put my finger on but he is definitely unique. He had a certain maturity about him from SO early on. And he is SMART! He kind of reminded me of Caleb at that age which may be why I had such a soft spot for him.
He was my little adventurer- the one who would wander off to see the world and have to be brought back kicking and screaming. He was fascinated by my horses and undaunted by the electric fence. It "bit" him...and he turned around and bit it back. Good thing I keep it turned VERY low b/c of my tiny dogs and being pregnant. Anyway...I miss having that little bear around and I hope Randy enjoys him as much as I did.
Thanks for the album Jenni, and I hope to hear more about some of the other pups too. Congrats on being pregnant! Goodness woman, you know how to keep your hands full don't you, lol.
Sounds like Randy does too, with this active little guy.
