I typed in at Google: malaseb pledgets
Pages and pages of returns.
I didn't know before that they were available from sources other than the vet. However, I looked at a couple of those prices and they were about the same, maybe a dollar different, and there was no freight added at the vet's.

Mmmm, I'm not familiar with Malaseb Pledgets! But sounds like I should check them out! I was referring to the Douxo Chlorhexidine pads by Sogeval - they are prescription only I believe.
I was also thinking Vanessa, that my derma vet never gives steroid orally just for feet. She gives a prescription spray called Genesis Spray that is a stronger topical steroid. It really helps with the itching between the pads a lot. She said not to use it on other parts of their body because it can cause skin thinning, but it's very good for the feet where the skin is much thicker. Just another idea!

Don't know if this helps. My 3.5 yo GSD used to have bad allergy problems (redness between her toes so she was always licking/chewing them until they were raw).
We started out with our regular vet first but never fully got rid of her symptoms. We took her to a derm vet 4 months ago. The derm vet said that yeast infection between toes was very common in dogs with allergies. She tested her for it and it turned out that my GSD was suffering yeast infection.
She gave my dog some anti-fungal oral medication and Malaseb shampoo. I was worried about the side effects of the oral medication. I thought I would start with the Malaseb shampoo first. It was really easy to it. I just had to wet her feet, put the shampoo on, wait 10 min, rinse it off and do it twice a week. Most of the redness resolved within two weeks. I never had to start her on the oral medication. I now use the shampoo on a "as needed" basis.
We also started her on allergy shots, which I am assuming between her allergy shots, Malaseb shampoo, and Atopica (an oral medication which recently, I have been able to taper her down to once a week), she is responding very well. This is her allergy season and she is not showing any symptoms (amazing!).
I also do the other normal allergy routine, I bathe her once a week with a soap-free shampoo, rinse her feet twice a day (after each walk), wipe her down with a damp cloth twice a day (during allergy seasons), wash her bedding every other day, and wipe the inside of her crate with a damp cloth every other day.
