Alright, I'll give this a try and post my results as they happen. 1/4 cup a day till we get hard poo. I'll mix in lots of water to help fill his belly. Poor guy.
Please re-read ....
1/4 cup to 1/3 cup per meal for today ...
.... increasing very gradually (if his poop improves on this day's protocol) to 3/4 of the recommended kibble amount, translated to the prepared rice/chicken amount, divided into three or ore meals until perfect poop.
Just a quick update; He is still making solid poop. He is up to 3/4 cups chicken, rice, and yogurt per serving. We are running into a little bit of a hunger issue though. He definately wants MORE, but don't worry- I'm still sticking to the plan.
I realize that I'm probably driving you guys crazy but I've got another update. We've got three days of solid poop now. I would like to begin adding/improving on his diet as his ribs are now showing and his waist is looking pretty thin. I'm also afraid that the cats are going to look tasty to him now that he's so hungry (lol)!

Please let me know what the next step is! Thanks!
How solid? Log-like? No liquid at all, and no pudding? One to two per day?
His poop is now regular hard logs. Just like my other dog's. He's going about 2 or 3 times a day. I'm feeding him 4 times a day.
I'm not sure about the food. I'm thinking I might use up the kibble since he had a pretty hard poop on it when I reduced his portion size. So what if I do the same with the Blue? Like 1/4 cup portions 4 times a day with yogurt. And see what happens?
It is the large breed puppy. It is mostly chicken and rice. I could return the bag of food if I don't want to go that route. I am a manager at Petco so returning and acquiring foods and supplements is no big deal.
I also have ground venison and chicken quarters on hand, but like I said, I have a butcjer shop within walking distance so I can get him whatever I need.
