......it's amazing we can function at all without rubber matting the walls and wearing crash test helmets after getting out of bed in the morning or putting the dog's feet in ziploc bags.
Melissa...The picture I have with my dogs tip-toeing around with baggies on their feet is beyond compare !!!!

So even if your dog is consuming, on a daily basis, raw chicken that has been shown to be 80% contaminated with bacteria on a daily basis there has been no problem for any of you?
That is certainly the case here. Those four dogs you see below eat more than 2000 pounds of raw meat a year. About half that is chicken parts that I wouldn't eat on a bet. The dogs are thriving.
I'll even confess to thawing meat for the dogs by just letting it sit out in the open--in the basement usually, in a plastic tub. Big cases of stuff that's frozen solid might sit out for two days before I get to it.
I figure, dogs lick their own butts. Not to mention licking (or consuming) anything foul-smelling they can find out in the world. Slightly ripe chicken necks don't even compare.

While I know Tracy and I both feed more fresh food than sub-par stinky chicken, this is the same around my house, too.
This morning when I took Turbo's chicken back out of the fridge it had a noticeable "kick" to it. The only thing that crossed my mind was that he was going to be super excited to get this "extra seasoned" chicken.
