I have not used the "crittering method" that this guy suggests.
I do not like the avoidance training method of using the ecollar at all.
The only thing that was good in the link was the systemic approach to the levels of distraction.
The dogs used as an example did not have dog-dog aggression.
Perhaps the dog was reactive to others, but not true dog aggression.
This method can backfire in a very ugly way depending upon the temperment of the dog and the skill of the person using the collar.
I would NEVER allow a dog that has exhibited aggressivness towards anything be unsupervised.....just asking for trouble.
Too many chances in this method of training for it not to work and the damage that it can cause can be catastrophic!
Marker training and teaching an awesome recall paired with a stair step method of desinsitization works with a reactive dog, and builds confidence. Escape training, "fearing the pain" does not build confidence, quite the opposite.
I'm not so sure that you can see dog-dog aggression in puppies.
As the behavior that a dog like that would exhibit could also be dominance. I will do some reseach and see what I can find.
