Patricia Powers Webboard User Reg: 07-08-2003 Posts: 342 Loc: Offline	yup, formal recall with sit-front is an entirely different thing. i have to applaud matt and wife for their creativity and for making the learning fun for the pup. being able to recall your dog in any situation is vitally important. at the tender age of 4 months, the last thing this baby needs is drilling, "repetitive" excercises just so he can learn recall. the only thing i would suggest is that you use different commands for formal and informal recalls. (i use "come" for informal and "heir" for formal...when i expect a sit-front and attention) if there are no dogs in heaven, then when i die i want to go where they went. ---will rogers

He really enjoys it. His face just lights up, tongue out and smiling!! In the beginning when he was 8-9 weeks old (before we had the obedience dvds) we were over-doing it, trying to teach him everything. We now know better. I hope I am able to guide him into becoming a great dog!!
